I sent you an email photo of the glass door knob from my childhood home. The house was replaced long ago, but someone saved the door knob for me — which is useful on a pocket door in our home in Williamsburg now. I think your mom would have liked it, too — I enjoyed reading about her reaction to seeing one in a house under construction in her book.
So glad to hear that you too were taken by a glass door knob! I have one from the house that I want to make into the head of a walking stick – another project for Ken and me!
