I’m excited about two opportunities to discuss my new biographical novel The Night Doctor of Richmond, just days apart.

On Monday October 21 at 9:30 am, I’ll be reading from and signing the book in the auditorium at the Egyptian Building on the VCU Health Center campus at 1223 East Marshall Street. This event is hosted by the Monument Avenue Garden Club but everyone is invited. What’s so cool about this talk is that it’s happening in the very building where my protagonist Chris Baker lived his life and practiced his gruesome trade as grave robber and anatomy man.

Then on Thursday October 24 at 9 am, I’ll be interviewed about the book by poet and literary activist E. Etheridge Miller on the radio. Miller’s show On the Margins (Washington, DC’s WPFW – 89.3 FM) is always worth a listen; he’s a deep reader with an abiding love of all things writing, and I’m honored to have this opportunity. You can stream our conversation live here: https://wpfwfm.org/radio

Thanks for your attention and consideration – hope you will join us for these events. And, just sayin', but with Halloween around the corner, seems to me that The Night Doctor of Richmond would make an excellent Trick or Treat gift for the readers in your home!
